Does anyone know of any great paying online survey companies that are legit?
There are many good online paid survey sites which conduct market research surveys. Many of them give handsome rewards for your participation in online surveys. You have to join each of them individually and you get survey invitations by email. Rewards for surveys vary from $1 to $20 or more. Many pay for each survey you take or give you points which you can redeem for cash at a particular level. Some of them enter you into sweepstakes.
All are free to join. The so called paid surveys which charge money like $35 for you to join are only databases of such free to join companies, which you have to join individually. But only 30 to 40 out of those 500 or so survey sites are really worth joining.
I've included a list of the top 10 websites which I'm using on the above blog if you want to take a look.

Do not give anyone your SSN there are lots of sites out there that are legit and they do not need this info from you. Nor do you have to pay to join. I am a member of several. I have done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete also. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. Pinecone is also great. You have to have an invitation to join though. They send one or two surveys a month. They are great though cause you will have a few days or a week to answer the survey if you don't check your email religiously. Then they send a check in the mail pronto. Surveyspot has tons of really short surveys most of which you only get an entry into a drawing. However they do have many paid surveys also. You can just go to their site everyday and answer surveys you don't have to wait for them to be emailed to you. They do some previewing of tv commercials and tv shows. I have done a couple tv shows which involved watching an hour long program (45 minutes without commercials) and answering some questions about it - with payment of $20 so that was nice.
Most pay a few dollars per survey completed so it is best to use several. You also need to be a regular email checker because if you don't respond to the survey fast enough they have met their quota.

And already twice now I have been asked to participate in a more extensive survey in which I was sent a palm pilot in the mail and asked to record certain daily activities. The ones I have completed offered a $50 incentive and that was in the form of a check in addition to the points I received for completing the initial survey. I have also done survey savy which has a great referral program if you know people who will join you get money for surveys they complete. I have also tried American Consumer Opinion. They pay by check in mail for all surveys, but I have not been able to complete many of their surveys. I did a lot of research before joining these. I make about 5-8 sales per week. I cant give you exact commission but my average per week is about $400. On a bad week it could be $200.
This program is kinda make money online.
It doesn't cost anything to sign up, and you don't "have to" buy a product.
But if you work hard in your spear time, or make it full time, you can make some serious cash. Payments are made via Paypal.
It cant hurt to check it out.

Survey Savvy is the only one I have found that actually pays off well, they pay a couple of dollars per survey, plus pay for people you refer who take surveys. Most of the others seem to be like raffles and you don't know if you'll make any money or not.

I am a skeptic when it comes to paid surveys and 'get paid to complete offer' sites, but honestly many of them are legit and have enabled me to generate a great amount of extra money. On one site, you can find actual photos of checks people have gotten from the site. On my favorite site that I use, the total payment cashout reached six figures ($100,000) for the month of May!! The most important thing is to never get discouraged if you start out slow. Those $1-$5 surveys will add up over time, and doing them from more than one site at a time really increases your income. My first week using three of these survey sites, combined, I made over $60 dollars, so they really do pay. Yahoo doesn't allow me to post the actual links like I used to, but if you want them, just go to my profile and you will find links to my favorites!

The only online scheme I can say really works is online bulk selling such as ebay, You buy things in bulk and sell them online but it takes alot of space (storage unit or large house) time (you have to wait for people to contact you) and nothing is deffinate. Overall dont waste your time.

Reply:Pinecone is one of the legitimate companies out there - and you get paid only when you qualifty and complete a survey. They sometimes ask you to fill up a short questionnaire to get more demographic information from you - and those types of questionnaires do not pay.
The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

It`s difficult to say which survey panels should be considered `top 10`. Because different people are invited for different amounts of surveys by the same research companies, what might work for one person, might not work for another.
There are many research companies that will pay you with points rather than straight cash incentives - don`t undervalue these, as these points are usually redeemable for cash.
Start off by registering with the big guns - surveysavvy, acop, globaltestmarket, surveyspot, etc. That should give you a good base to work with, and then you can go from there.
