I responded to a posting on craigslist and this is the company that sent the check through Fedex to my house. They sent me a check for $3,000 and I was told that I was going to be paid $500 for the survey but I have to cash the check and send the rest through Moneygram. There's no way for your bank to know that the check is a fraud since it looks real. So I cashed the check but then backed out and followed my gut feeling. I have been contacted non-stop since I told them that I already cashed the check. I deposited the check back into my account since I'm sure they will be taking it back out. These people will hound you until they get YOUR money..... don't do it, it's too good to be true and you will be out the money if you fall for their scam. Also try looking for Precise Enterprise LLC from London.

It is safe you just need to find a reliable internet business. I can only recommend data entry made easy from personal experience. I have been doing it for roughly a year and make around 200-300 dollars a month. The work is very light and I still could get a full time job if I wanted. Looking back I am glad I decided to follow the path of data entry online jobs. Good Luck!!

Some sites will send you a list of companies that YOU must contact to see if they are interested in your services. Some sites will just send you ad copy similar to the one you just paid info for and expect you to go rip someone off the same way you were. And some sites, just keep your money and you never hear from them again...
Paid surveys, for the masses, end up being a situation where you sign up, complete the survey, spending your time and effort, to get to the end and find out you did not qualify. Most generally you get one-two a day or week, not a steady stream.... and certainly not enough to provide a reasonable income... Survey sites are being paid by advertisers to get public opinion. The less they pay out to you, the more they make themselves.
I know of one gentleman who claimed to have made $250, but he had to sign up for over 100 survey sites and also paid to join a few. When I asked how much he paid in relation to what he made, he disappeared.
But again, neither of these are classified as a 'business'.... only the business to make money off your fee or efforts.
Also, one more thing, beware of spammers who only looked at your question as a way to spam their deal and not address the question.

It's no full time job, but it's great cash on the side, I recommend it, there's no risk at all. Just make sure any sites you join don't ask for cash up front, if they are legit, they shouldn't need that to make money. Large companies actually do have large marketing research budgets that allocate money to paying for consumer surveys like this.

This would be very hard i have been a member on a couple of survey sites for about a month and have made £2.70 a lot of it can depend on the industry's your family work in and you often get sent surveys fill out a few questions only yo be told you do not qualify.

Reply:First, payed surveys are not a "business"--they will not earn you a salary. Some do pay, but it's extra cash, not enough to live on. I'm signed up with over 10 sites and earn about $20 a month taking surveys and another $20 or so referring people. But it is not somethine to do full time--you simply won't qualify to take enough of the surveys that are out there to earn that much.
As for the paid sites, according to an article I read (some parenting magazine--can't remember which one cause I was reading it in a doctor's office) mostly they just refer you to other survey sites which you could join for free on your own without paying their fee.
If you do want to earn some spare change (usually $0.50-$5 per survey, occassionally $10-15, rarely more than that) I've listed some legitimate sites and reviewed them on my website.

This would be very hard i have been a member on a couple of survey sites for about a month and have made £2.70 a lot of it can depend on the industry's your family work in and you often get sent surveys fill out a few questions only yo be told you do not qualify.

Reply:First, payed surveys are not a "business"--they will not earn you a salary. Some do pay, but it's extra cash, not enough to live on. I'm signed up with over 10 sites and earn about $20 a month taking surveys and another $20 or so referring people. But it is not somethine to do full time--you simply won't qualify to take enough of the surveys that are out there to earn that much.
As for the paid sites, according to an article I read (some parenting magazine--can't remember which one cause I was reading it in a doctor's office) mostly they just refer you to other survey sites which you could join for free on your own without paying their fee.
If you do want to earn some spare change (usually $0.50-$5 per survey, occassionally $10-15, rarely more than that) I've listed some legitimate sites and reviewed them on my website.

More generally: Can you make enough money to make it fun? If it takes, say, 10 hours of surveys to make $50, that's just a minimum wage job.

They start with a long personal questionnaire about you: income, personal situation, possessions, etc. to see what surveys you can be eligible, so they won't send you a survey on cars if you don't have one. That limits the surveys you get, but you will get some every few days. Note that some surveys are just advertisements to screen your interest and then send you to another site where you can buy...
I had some survey pay a bit of money (50cents ) into your survey club account, but it is really small money. Occasionally, you will get a survey that pays more for banks or other expensive goods, but I did not get very many, certainly not enough to make much money. Furthermore, to join that these survey clubs, you often need to pay a fee... Needless to say, I did not recover my joining fee.
As in real life, there are no free lunches on the Internet. There is a lot of free information, but some of it actually tries to sell you something later on.
In my experience, I have found two ways to make money online:
1 - Investing online. see http://www.online-investing-review.com for free resources to learn and practice with virtual money. Be careful not to trade real money before you learn and practice!
2. Write a blog or articles about a subject you know well. Eventually, you will get enough articles written to compile that into a book and sell it online. If it sells well, then you might even be able to sell it through a real editors and have it on Chapter or Amazon!

Most of the time they just try to make you join so they can spam you with emails constantly and even SELL your information to other emailers.
Most sites are scams, and it's very frustrating trying to find good sites that will actually DELIVER.
I've spent years looking for quality sites that pay to complete surveys. I use the income I earn from surveys online to supplement my income.
I've put together a list of the VERY BEST legitimate paid survey sites that are 100% free to join, just like they should be.
I mean, why would they need to charge for access if they were making money?
And, if they aren't making money, you won't be either!

There are others out there. Be careful though, there are also scams. Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.
Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).
Also just recently came across a good survey ratings site that I've found very helpful:

Always ask yourself, why would people need to spam others in order to make money when answering surveys is what is supposed to generate the money.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not agregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Don't get me wrong, you can make money by doing paid surveys, but you'll have to invest more time in it than you probably think you need. Besides, surveys that pay well, (e.g. cash incentive of %26gt;$10), are usually more than 60 minutes long (assuming you qualify).
Personally, I've stopped doing paid surveys after a few months; I just got tired of filling in forms and clicking on buttons. I was able to make $20 my first few days, but since then I've gotten better can make roughly $40 a week. This is perfect for me because I no longer have to ask my parents for money. The sites either pay through PayPal or check so it's 100% safe. Inboxdollars offers a paid surveys, and pays 1-10 cents per e-mail that they send to you and online cash games, online shopping rewards and much more. They have a zero tolerance spam policy. So you only recieve e-mail from the offers you personally sign-up for or 2 e-mail ads that you get paid to view from inboxdollars theirself per day.
To be honest, you can only expect 2 - 3 checks per year from inboxdollars but that is still twice as many as any paid survey sites.

i used to live near a lady that worked in market research. she used to bring round all sorts of samples...like food i had to cook taste and rate , perfumes to smell...all of which i had to complete surveys on there was alot of paperwork but i got between £5-25 per survey. its handy extra cash when your a busy mummy of 4!

There are legitimate survey sites out there, however you will usually only be able to make around 10-30 dollars a month per site.
