Has anyone tried those "online money paid survey" things? is that any good?

I keep stumbling over these ads promising you money for taking surveys, provided you buy their membership first.

Has anyone tried that, and does it really work, or is it a rip-off?

If it works, can you actually make the kind of money these guys promise?

I strongly advise users to consider other 'fast track - money making schemes' as many ask the question can a user earn money, whereas they should be asking, just what will this site do with my private information.

These sites make money by selling your information to third parties and 'relay' this money back to you as a reward. Considering this site is asking for money to become a member is a sure sign that you could be ripped off in the process.

However if selling you life does not worry you, do a lot of research on the company you wish to make use of prior to membership.

All the best

Reply:If they promise money do not count on it. Some of the points based ones work though (i.e. mypoints.com, etc.). We have received several gift cards from mypoints.com
Reply:First off, you're not going to get rich with survey sites like a lot of them claim. You should never pay to join a site that offers surveys because there are plenty of free sites that pay. I've made between 100-300 dollars a month for a while by using a few survey sites that work.
Reply:Many people these days are making money online with paid surveys. I have found that these paid surveys are especially suitable for students. Since many students are living with a tight%26lt;!--budget the several hundred dollars that can be made monthly is a big help and the flexibility of taking paid surveys online is a big plus for students as well. To join these companies, you dont need a credit card and the best part is that you dont need to pay anything. Its FREE.

These are three of the top reasons that paid surveys are so well suited to students. Students spend a good--%26gt;part of their time online already. Paid survey sites place a premium on users between the ages of 13-25 3. Most students can benefit from the extra money earned with paid surveys
Reply:Don't touch it.

These things are invariably scams to get details from you.
Reply:There are a lot of scams in the paid survey category but I have found a few that actually are legitimate and FREE to join.

The best one is:

It is consistanly easy to make hundreds a month there.

Reply:I've tried it and still do them every other day. I know everyone says they are useally scams but I researched a few different companies and went with one that was recommended the most. They have a database of market research companies that are legit. If people start reporting that a company is having issues sending checks than they remove that company from the database. Its actually pretty decent spare cash. I use mine for shopping fun money. More info on the company I use is at http://www.dealcravings.com/earn-up-to-3... Don't let everyone discourage you saying they are 100% scams. While that might be true for some companies I bet most of the negative ninnies haven't actually researched and tried it for themselves.
Reply:Dont do it...Almost everyone of them are scams and sooner or later they will be askin you for money..
Reply:i've never tried it and i never will.

you shouldn't either. it's usually scammers and people that try to find out your identity. anything online that asks for your address and isn't like, an official website (like banks, credit cards, etc.) you shouldn't do it. its a waste of time and you can get stuck in a bad situation.
